Last year about this time a fellow volunteer guided me to a field of rape outside of Sublimity OR.
I was disappointed to learn that the old farm house was gone and a different crop had been planted this year.
But as I drove home from the park this past week, I discovered another area farmer had planted a crop of rape.
I have learned more about this crop in the last year.
While the locals call it rape, most of us would be more familiar with the term Canola.
I find the Canola plant to be quite beautiful with all its spring blossoms.
Regardless of what you call the crop; rape or canola,
I find it to be a beautiful crop and it makes me wish I had that wide angle lens I've been coveting for a while.
Not to mention the new camera I'd love to have too.
But regardless, my iPhone camera was sufficient for this blog.
