March 30, 2012 - Finally! A hint of Sunset

I love the quote from Rabindranath Tagore,
"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky."

The Oregon skies have been so dense with clouds this past week there was no opportunity for a colorful sunset,
but tonight on our drive to Seattle I got to see color again!
Brilliant!

So much fun was had today in spite of the winter weather in March. I think there is more snow on the ground tonight than I have seen in the 5+ years I have lived here, but
It did NOT dampen our family reunion.
We are all anxious for Brad to arrive tomorrow so we will be complete.

March 10, 2012 - Chicken Pot Pie

I am not much of a pot pie fan.
I suppose because we had to eat them so often when we had no money.
I remember when pot pies were 4 for a dollar.
And I remember when they went up to 3 for a dollar.
I am glad to say I don't know what they cost today.
However, I couldn't pass up this massive Chicken Pot Pie from Costco today.
It cooked up perfectly,
the crust was light and flaky,
and it was quite tasty.
All in all a good choice for an easy dinner.
